The introduction of new goal keeper Efraim Tjihonge, from the mighty civilians has come as a massive signing, bringing experience and leadership to the team after a successful spell at Black Leopards.
The permanent signing of on loan Diego Fransman from Pioneerspark based Ramblers acts as great competition for the number 1 jersey.
New signings, Mukongo ‘Skopi’ Hangara, Larry Horaeb and Garren ‘Sweetness’ Smith all coming out of the now defunct Ramblers u20 structure, bring with a number of accolades and achievements for the young trio. Larry Horaeb being a regular in the current national u20 side having travelled on national duty to Germany, Ghana, South Africa and many more, Garren Smith has also recorded a full passport, whilst captaining Namibia’s u15s to Germany, he has also trialled and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Manchester Uniteds Nani while at Sporting Lisbon in 2005, being invited for trials at Manchester United and Chelsea at the age of 15 and most recently being invited on trial at PSL giants Super Sport united in the new year, which leaves Mukongo Hangara, who is the only one to taste NPL in his debut 2009/2010 season at Civics where Ricardo Manetti started shaping the hard tackling right back.
Jeremiah Baisako, a left back come left winger is bidding to revive his once sought after left foot, after joining from Ramblers with the upcoming Ivan Blom. Blom found himself in Johannesburg in the off season, trialling with Gavin Hunt’s men, he will rejoin the reigning champions for the Christmas break.
Martin Kambungu previously of SFC, has joined after much hype and anticipation. The no nonsense defensive midfielder was part of the local based national side that took on Seycheles earlier this year, after many clubs enquired about his services, namely Eleven Arrows, Blue Boys and Ramblers, he put pen to paper and will be vying in the green and black for the next two seasons.
Up front brings many new faces, most notably that of Brave Warrior striker Alfred Nyenge and German national, Robbie Echelmeyer from TSV KLEINBURGWEDEL in Germanys 5th tier. Simeon Tjiueza, a 120 minute man formerly of Black Africa and Ramblers has impressed on trial and signed a permanent deal while the highly rated Panduleni ‘Kaka’ Nekundi has joined on a season long loan from 1st division side Unam FC where he finished top goal scorer.
Up and coming versatile strong man Charles Wimmert (18) has also joined the side coming from the clubs u20 development team.
The twelve remaining players include, ex pirates shot stopper Harrie January and u20 national goal keeper Andre Fug, national centre back and club captain Ralph Ellinger, defenders Silver Zemburuka, Pitzi Eichhoff and Thomas Mutilifa, defensive midfielder and much travelled Zambian youth international Chepela Chepela, Elias Lisaku, Yoyo Kaapama, ball wizard Gustav Izaaks, Rene Traut and Mr reliable Edmund Gowaseb.
The club have undergone a complete overall, from playing personnel to chairmanship, with the new head being Jochen Traut, newly appointed head coach Lesley Kakuva will be deputised by the young Dino Ballotti and Rolf Beiter will act as the third piece to the coaching puzzle.
