Wir wollen Ihnen den Kader der Cymot SKW NPL Mannschafft für die kommende Saison vorstellen. Zunächst begrüßen wir die alten Bekannten bevor wir uns auf die Neulinge konzentrieren.

After a lengthy pre-season and countless players coming to trial at Cymot SKW the coaching team has selected twelve new players into the Squad that will do duty for the first half of the season. Eleven of them have joined Cymot SKW from other Premier League Clubs whilst one has made the step up from the First Division. It is with great pride that we can announce that in addition to the nine players another two have come up through the structures of the Cymot SKW Youth Academy and are now also full members of the NPL Squad. This bears testimony to the excellent work done by those involved in this new venture.

The introduction of new goal keeper Efraim Tjihonge, from the mighty civilians has come as a massive signing, bringing experience and leadership to the team after a successful spell at Black Leopards.
The permanent signing of on loan Diego Fransman from Pioneerspark based Ramblers acts as great competition for the number 1 jersey.
New signings, Mukongo ‘Skopi’ Hangara, Larry Horaeb and Garren ‘Sweetness’ Smith all coming out of the now defunct Ramblers u20 structure, bring with a number of accolades and achievements for the young trio. Larry Horaeb being a regular in the current national u20 side having travelled on national duty to Germany, Ghana, South Africa and many more, Garren Smith has also recorded a full passport, whilst captaining Namibia’s u15s to Germany, he has also trialled and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Manchester Uniteds Nani while at Sporting Lisbon in 2005, being invited for trials at Manchester United and Chelsea at the age of 15 and most recently being invited on trial at PSL giants Super Sport united in the new year, which leaves Mukongo Hangara, who is the only one to taste NPL in his debut 2009/2010 season at Civics where Ricardo Manetti started shaping the hard tackling right back.
Jeremiah Baisako, a left back come left winger is bidding to revive his once sought after left foot, after joining from Ramblers with the upcoming Ivan Blom. Blom found himself in Johannesburg in the off season, trialling with Gavin Hunt’s men, he will rejoin the reigning champions for the Christmas break.
Martin Kambungu previously of SFC, has joined after much hype and anticipation. The no nonsense defensive midfielder was part of the local based national side that took on Seycheles earlier this year, after many clubs enquired about his services, namely Eleven Arrows, Blue Boys and Ramblers, he put pen to paper and will be vying in the green and black for the next two seasons.
Up front brings many new faces, most notably that of Brave Warrior striker Alfred Nyenge and German national, Robbie Echelmeyer from TSV KLEINBURGWEDEL in Germanys 5th tier. Simeon Tjiueza, a 120 minute man formerly of Black Africa and Ramblers has impressed on trial and signed a permanent deal while the highly rated Panduleni ‘Kaka’ Nekundi has joined on a season long loan from 1st division side Unam FC where he finished top goal scorer.
Up and coming versatile strong man Charles Wimmert (18) has also joined the side coming from the clubs u20 development team.
The twelve remaining players include, ex pirates shot stopper Harrie January and u20 national goal keeper Andre Fug, national centre back and club captain Ralph Ellinger, defenders Silver Zemburuka, Pitzi Eichhoff and Thomas Mutilifa, defensive midfielder and much travelled Zambian youth international Chepela Chepela, Elias Lisaku, Yoyo Kaapama, ball wizard Gustav Izaaks, Rene Traut and Mr reliable Edmund Gowaseb.
The club have undergone a complete overall, from playing personnel to chairmanship, with the new head being Jochen Traut, newly appointed head coach Lesley Kakuva will be deputised by the young Dino Ballotti and Rolf Beiter will act as the third piece to the coaching puzzle. SKW’s new slogan for the season is WWW – We Will Win!

Die Fußballmannschaft des Sportklubs Windhoek (SKW) geht mit neuen Gesichtern in die Premier-Liga-Saison 2010/2011. Lesley Kakuva tritt in die Fußstapfen von Cheftrainer Richard Starke, Teammanager ist Dino Ballotti. Zudem hat der SKW 13 neue Spieler verpflichtet.
Chefcoach Kakuva sieht sein Team gut vorbereitet: „Wir sind qualitativ besser aufgestellt als letztes Jahr.“ Der 38-Jährige muss jedoch noch auf sein Debüt als Cheftrainer warten. Der ursprünglich für das vergangene Wochenende angesetzte Ligastart wurde kurzfristig um zwei Wochen verschoben. Hauptgrund dürfte die Länderspielreise des Nationalteams nach Indien sein. Auch der SKW hätte mit seinem neuen Angreifer Ndyenge auf einen Schlüsselspieler verzichten müssen.
Der Ligaauftakt ist jetzt für den 24. September angesetzt. Der SKW startet einen Tag später im Independence-Stadion gegen Titelanwärter Black Africa in die Saison. Am Mittwoch, 29. September, geht es dann gegen den amtierenden Meister African Stars – Austragungsort für das Spitzenspiel ist ebenfalls das Independence-Stadion. Gegen den Erzrivalen Oshikandela Ramblers muss der SKW am 3. Spieltag (6. Oktober) anrücken. Eine Woche später spielt der SKW gegen den Vizemeister der Vorsaison: Orlando Pirates (15. Oktober). „Ein Hammer-Auftaktprogramm! Die ersten Spiele sind richtungsweisend für den weiteren Saisonverlauf, aber ich bin zuversichtlich“, sagt Beiter.
Im Rahmen der Vorbereitung auf die Spielzeit 2010/2011 traf der SKW auf drei Ligakonkurrenten. Gegen die Eleven Arrows, den Civics FC sowie gegen die Orlando Pirates gab es jeweils ein Remis. Die einzige Niederlage setzte es ausgerechnet gegen den Zweitligisten Swakopmunder FC. „Gemessen an den Testspiel-Ergebnissen war es keine überragende Vorbereitung. Aber wir werden auf den Punkt fit sein und am Ende der Saison unter den Top 3 landen“, kündigt Beiter selbstbewusst an.
Aufgrund des verschobenen Ligastartes findet an diesem Wochenende auf dem Gelände des SKW ein Vorbereitungsturnier statt. Neben den Gastgebern nehmen drei weitere Premierligisten teil: Civics FC, Oshikandela Ramblers sowie die Wesbank Tigers. „Auch wenn es sich nur um Freundschaftsspiele handelt, können die Fußballfans die Neuverpflichtungen ihrer Clubs schon einmal in Augenschein nehmen“, sagt Ballotti. Das Turnier startet morgen um 18 Uhr mit dem Spiel SKW gegen Civics FC, um 20 Uhr treffen die Ramblers und Tigers aufeinander. Die Verlierer bestreiten am Sonnabend, 16 Uhr, das Spiel um Platz drei. Das Endspiel steigt um 18 Uhr. Der Eintritt kostet zehn N$.
